जब तक खड़ा है
चीथड़ों में लिपटा बचपन
हाथ फैलाकर
जब तक हैं उसके हाथों में
भारी-भरकम औज़ार
खिलौनों की जगह
जब तक हैं उसकी पीठ पर
फटी पुरानीं बोरियाँ
और उनमें पड़े शराब के क्वाटर
तब तक कौन कह सकता है
कि उज्ज्वल है
भारत के भविष्य का भविष्य
